New Website Coming Soon!

I am in the process of doing a huge update to my website and blog!

My blog still contain all sorts of great information of news and events in and around East Sac as well as updates on the real estate market. The format will be a bit more dynamic and located as a page within my full real estate website  You can still reach it by going to www.WelcomeToEastSacramento.com or by going through the primary website at http://WelcomeToEastSac.com/blog/.

I've also made great changes to my real estate website and now have it located at www.WelcomeToEastSac.com. The website has greatly improved search features including an improved Map Search, a detailed Advanced Search, the ability to search by Address, MLS number and even preset searches for some of my favorite neighborhoods like East Sac, Land Park, Sierra & Arden Oaks, Curtis Park, River Park, Elmhurst and Midtown / Downtown.

I've also been able to upload many of my past client thank you notes and referral letters in a Testimonial section. Turns out that I had over 50 great letters, notes, comment cards and Yelp reviews to post to the new website!

The new website even has a great way of sharing my Referral Network great companies that I have worked with and would recommend to my friends.

With the launch of my new website will come a new email address. While Nathan@East-Sac.com will still get to me, I'm switching over to Nathan@WelcomeToEastSac.com to have a cohesive brand (and so I don't have to explain the "dash" between East and Sac every time I give out my email over the phone).

I'm really excited about the new site and blog. I hope that you like it too!

Urban Renaissance Home Tour

As fun as it can be to watch home improvement and remodeling shows on TV, it's even better when you can see the results of such hard work in person. Next Sunday, September 28, from 10am-4pm, the Urban Renaissance Home Tour offers just that opportunity, by showcasing some of the finest new and remodeled homes in East Sac.

Five of them, to be exact. They are described as a "Hampton Cottage in Black & White," a "Stately City Home; A Downsizer's Dream," an "Arts and Crafts Revival with Modern Touches," a home exemplifying "European Country Living," and a "Tudor Updated for Three Generations."

So if you're looking for inspiration for your own remodel, or just want a fun day out to ooh and ahh, this is the perfect event for you. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 the day of the tour, with proceeds going to benefit the McKinley Park Renewal Fund. For more information and to buy tickets, go to www.sacurbanhometour.com.

Sac Open Studios

Over the course of two weekends, more than 100 Sacramento area artists will open their studios to the public during the Sac Open Studios tour. It will be a great way for the community to become more familiar with the kinds of art and artists that the area produces—and be able to buy some of that art, too.

Each weekend will feature artists from different regions in Sacramento. The first weekend (September 13-14) will have studios open in Downtown, Midtown, Land Park and West Sac. Then the following weekend (September 20-21), studios in East Sac, Arden, Tahoe Park, Carmichael and Fair Oaks will be open.

To get a taste of what you can expect with the event, there will be a free preview exhibition at Verge Center for the Arts from 6-9pm on Thursday, September 11. Otherwise, for more information, including a downloadable guide of all the participating artists, go to sacopenstudios.com

31 River Bluff Lane Just Listed in Carmichael

I've just listed a great property at 31 River Bluff Lane in Carmichael. It is a three bedroom, two and a half bath home listed for $550,000.

I was able to help the owners transform it from a heavily wallpapered and dated looking home into a stunning beauty by working with several contractors. Since they were unavailable to manage the contractors directly, I worked with several contractors to get bids and after the owners selected which ones to work with I helped with access and updates along the way. Seeing the transformation and hearing the feedback has been greatly rewarding.

Here is the listing description:
You’ve found the perfect oasis in the gated community of Riverwood. This highly sought after floor plan with a ground level master suite is in a quiet interior location.

The living room has vaulted ceilings, a gas fireplace & lots of light. Enjoy a large kitchen with a breakfast nook & seating area.

You can access to your two private patios from the kitchen, dining room, living room or master bedroom. The lush grounds with many trees turns your patios into the perfect outdoor living spaces.
Riverwood has two pools, a tennis court and wonderful views and access to the America River to call you out to play in the great outdoors.

Here are some of the links to the properties listing and all of the details about it:
