I just helped my clients purchase this wonderful home in East Sac. There were seven offers in four days and I helped my clients barely beat out the next highest offer.

As far as homes for sale in East Sac go, this was a real diamond in the rough. The home needs some updating but it is in great overall condition, it is close to McKinley Park and it has a real two car garage, which if you’ve been looking in East Sac you know is very hard to find.

I’m so happy to have helped this family find and purchase this home. I’ll be inviting them to our block parties starting up next month. Since they live just a couple blocks away it will be an easy walk over.

East Sac Boy Scouts!

There is a new East Sac Boy Scout Troop, #1001 and they will be meeting at the Fremont Presbyterian Church in River Park. The Boy Scouts are open to boys ages 11 to 18.

McKinley Library Goes Green

On Thursday March 15^th East Sac’s McKinley Library will hold a free children’s program celebrating the Irish with music and dance. The fun starts at 3:00 at 601 Alhambra Blvd.

Pops in the Park Lineup!

The bands for East Sac’s 2012 Pops in the Park summer concerts have been announced!

Mercy Me! will kick it off on June 2^nd with their rhythm and blues in McKinely Park

The Chris Gardner Band will be playing Country music at Glenn Hall Park on June 9^th.

My favorite, the Q-Balls will perform rock-n-roll classics from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s in East Portal Park on June 16^th.

Ivan Najera and Friends will finish it off with Latin Jazz in Bertha Henschel Park on June 23^rd.

2011 Masters Club!

It is official, I made the Masters Club for 2011. To make it into the Masters Club you have to be in the top 10% of the SAR Membership based on your production in 2011.

Sales Stir Hope for Housing Market
Sales of previously owned homes rose in December for the third straight month, bringing the supply of homes listed for sale to the lowest level since 2006 and offering a glimmer of hope that the housing market could be starting to climb out of a profound downturn.

Existing-home sales increased 5% in December from a month earlier, to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.61 million units, the National Association of Realtors said Friday. Lawrence Yun, the Realtors' chief economist, called the December gain "a good finish to a very tough year."

December and January were crazy busy months. I'm loving the work, but need to find a way to make it sustainable without burning out. The days off have become a bit too rare recently.

Not that I'm complaining mind you. This is the best problem to have in a business!

The buyer signed the papers yesterday, the seller signed today and we should be closed before the end of the year. I’m happy to have it close but I'll miss having access to this property.

The Slow Season

I have been told that the holidays are the "slow season" in the real estate business. I've been told this from many sources and once upon a time I did believe that it was a little slower around this time of year.



I thought that an agent that was willing to still work the business at this time would still have a little business because many other agents we’re not as active.



I never imagined that this was the busiest time of year, but for me that sure is the case! There have been no posts to my blog in over a month because I’m focused on taking care of my clients in every working hour. Priorities!
