Kids at Heart

Since 2002, The GreenHouse has helped support disadvantaged youth and families with after-school tutoring, mentoring, spiritual and leadership development. A primary source of funding for such programs comes from the annual Kids at Heart dinner, to be held this coming Saturday, May 31, at 6pm in the Grand Hall of the Clunie Community Center.

In addition to a celebration dinner, there will also be a silent auction, youth performances and handing-out of community awards. Tickets are $60 per person. To buy tickets, or for more information, call (916) 402-7978 or go to thegreenhousecenter.org.

Pups in the Park

Before the people take over during next month’s Pops in the Park, McKinley Park goes to the dogs during the 6th Annual Pups in the Park. From 10am-2pm this Saturday, May 31, all dogs (and their people) are invited to enjoy carnival games, photo booths, agility demonstrations, a big raffle, Sacto MoFo food trucks (which you’ve also enjoyed during Food Truck Mania) and more.

General admission is free, with an entry fee of $20 for participants in the 1K Puppy Promenade and Doggy Costume Contest, which will be judged by Rob Stewart (“Rob on the Road” on PBS), Sacramento Bee editorial cartoonist Jack Ohman and KFBK’s Kitty O’Neal. All proceeds will benefit the Front Street Animal Shelter. For more information, call (916) 808-8166 or go to pupsinthepark.weebly.com.

1441 35th Street in East Sac Just Sold

I love it when I can listen to my clients and then truly deliver what they want in a home! A brick home with a large back yard was a top priority for them and for a while it didn't look like a likely outcome. I had faith that we would find it if we were diligent and moved quickly when the opportunity came up. Sure enough, this great house came on the market and we pounced on it before anyone else could get it!

The new owners of this great brick house in East Sac were referred to me by wonderful clients of mine. I helped them buy an amazing house just one block from me a few months back. I love building my community around me...

Food Truck Mania in May

This Friday, May 9, Food Truck Mania continues at McKinley Park. From 5-9pm enjoy live music, a beer and wine garden and some of the best bites from your favorite food trucks. Presented by Councilmember Steve Cohn, Food Truck Mania will take place every second Friday through October.

I went last month and had a great time. Squeeze Inn was amazing and seeing so many of my neighbors out for the event was great. Make sure you get there early to avoid the crazy lines!

For more information, call (916) 277-6060 or go to sactomofo.com/event/mckinley-park-dinner.

1216 47th Street in the Fab 40's of East Sac has Just Sold

We had this property listed for a while and decided that we should take it off the market for a little bit to refresh the listing.

Wouldn't you know it, just two days after taking it off the market we got two offers! Since it was off market when we accepted the offers, you won't be able to see the sale in the standard MLS, but it was still a great sale!
